Review by hotel critic
During my recent two-night stay at the Yacht Inn, I aimed to balance luxury against value, especially as a wildlife conservationist who appreciates comfort on my travels. The hotel offers a fantastic seafront location and is an ideal starting point for adventurers. I opted for a standard room, which, although intimate, was efficiently arranged with a double and a single bed, along with ample storage. The ensuite bathroom included a surprisingly nice tub. Breakfast was included, featuring a range of options from cooked meals to cereals, and even a treat for our dog – a nice touch for pet owners. Staff provided a warm welcome, and their friendliness enhanced the experience, making dinner at the bar enjoyable. The Goat Cheese salad lived up to its praises! While noise from nearby festivities on my chosen floor could be an issue for some, I appreciated the bar/lounge area's lively atmosphere in the evenings. Given the overall experience, the hotel strikes a reasonable balance between price and comfort, making it a sensible choice for families and those exploring the coast.
